Marauders prepare for MN road trip against Wildcats, Golden Bears

WINONA, MN – The University of Mary women's basketball team prepares for a Minnesota road trip this weekend. The Marauders begin their trip in Winona, MN, to challenge Winona State University on Friday, January 30, at 5:30 pm. UMary then heads to St. Paul, MN, to compete against Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday, January 31, at 2 pm.

THE RECORD
UMary is 17-6 overall and 10-4 in the NSIC. The Marauders are currently ranked 2nd in the NSIC North standings and tied for 3rd in the overall conference standings.

UNDLIN NAMED NSIC NORTH PLAYER OF THE WEEK
For the second time this season, Allison Undlin was named the NSIC North Division Player of the Week after leading the UMary women's basketball team to a 2-0 weekend. Undlin joins her teammate Bergan Kinnebrew and Emma Miller as the only NSIC North players to win the honor twice.

The Mohall, ND, native recorded a career-high 25 points to go along with nine rebounds and three blocks in a 91-87 win over Wayne State College. Undlin shot 10-of-16 from the field and 3-of-4 from behind the arc against the Wildcats. She grabbed her sixth double-double of the season in a 67-55 win over Augustana University, posting 18 points and 12 rebounds. Undlin went 8-of-13 from the floor and 1-of-2 from three against the Vikings.

LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders went undefeated at home last weekend, defeating Wayne State College 91-87 and Augustana University 67-55. Bergan Kinnebrew recorded 25 points and six steals in the win against WSC. Eden Fridley posted 11 points and six assists in the victory against AU.

STAT LEADERS
Bergan Kinnebrew is second in the NCAA in points scored (471) and third in points per game (22.4). She is shooting 46.8% from the floor, 36.7% from three, and 86.2% from the free-throw line. She leads the team in steals (2.1 spg) and is second in assists (4.1 apg). Kinnebrew is 1st in the NSIC in scoring, 8th in field goal percentage, 5th in free throw percentage, 5th in assists, 8th in assist/turnover ratio (1.3), 13th in minutes played, 7th in steals, and 19th in three pointers made per game (1.5). 

Allison Undlin holds the most rebounds (8.0 rpg) and blocks (43) on the team. The Mohall, ND, native is second on the team in scoring (14.8 ppg) on a team-best 61% from the field. She ranks 4th in the nation in field goal percentage, 7th in total blocks, and 19th in total rebounds. Undlin is 1st in the NSIC in field goal percentage, 2nd in blocks per game (1.9), 4th in rebounding, and 15th in scoring.

Emily Jaenke leads all bench scorers on the Marauders, averaging 8.2 ppg on a team-best 46.5% shooting from behind the arc. She ranks 4th in the nation in 3-point percentage. She is 10th in the NSC in 3-point field goals made per game (2.0).

Eden Fridley leads the team in assists per game (4.2) and assist/turnover ratio (1.9). Fridley is 3rd in total assists (96) in the NSIC, 2nd in assist/turnover ratio, and 4th in assists per game.

OPPO RESEARCH – WSU
Winona State is 12-8 overall and 9-5 in the Northern Sun. The Wildcats are tied for 3rd in the NSIC South standings and in a tie for 5th in the overall conference standings. Senior Hailey Markworth leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.9 ppg on 47.6% shooting from the field. Junior Vivica Bretton leads the team in assists (3.4 apg) and is second in scoring (12.3 ppg). Sophomore Megan Schuman holds the most rebounds (6.3 rpg) on the Wildcats.

OPPO RESEARCH – CSP
Concordia-St. Paul is 13-6 overall and 9-5 in the Northern Sun. The Golden Bears are tied for 3rd in the NSIC South standings and in a tie for 5th in the overall conference standings. Junior forward Lauren Wilson leads the team in scoring, averaging 19.4 ppg on 52% shooting from the floor. Wilson is also second in the conference in rebounding (8.9 rpg). Senior guard Lydia Haack leads the NSIC in assists, averaging 6.2 apg. Haack is second on the team in scoring, posting 17.6 ppg.

KINNENBREW 1,000 CAREER POINTS
Bergan Kinnebrew reached the 1,000-point milestone in an 83-79 overtime win over the University of Sioux Falls. She becomes the 24th Marauder reach that 1k milestone and the 12th to do so in the NCAA era. Kinnebrew currently ranks 22nd all-time in UMary history with 1,058 career points.

WELCOME BACK
UMary returns three starters from last year's lineup as G Bergan Kinnebrew, G Chloe Pfau, and G Eden Fridley look to see increased roles this season.

Notable key bench returners from last season include F Allison Undlin, G Anna Lenzen, F Cassie Erickson, G Emily Jaenke, and G Brenna Dick.

NEWCOMERS
The Marauders add five freshmen to the roster for the 2025-26 season. G Mashae Miller, Chloe Netzinger, F Senna Mooijekind, G Chloe Nuss, C Tory Jennissen, and G Grace Richardson will all look to make an immediate impact in their freshman campaigns.

COACHING STAFF
Rick Neumann enters his 14th season as the head coach of the UMary women's basketball program. Last season, Neumann passed Fred Fridley for second all-time in program wins last season. He achieved his 200th win on 11.7.2025 against MSU Billings.

Haley Froelich enters her second season as the Marauders assistant coach. Froelich served as the assistant coach at Clarke University for the 2023-24 season, where the Pride went 29-3 and made it to the second round of the NAIA tournament.

KINNEBREW NAMED PLAYER TO WATCH
After being named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference First Team last season, Bergan Kinnebrew was announced as the UMary women's basketball Player to Watch for the 2025-26 season.

Last year, Kinnebrew led the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game. The Bismarck, ND, native shot 38.8% from the field, 35.2% from three, and 84.4% from the free-throw line. The junior ranked 9th in the conference in scoring, 2nd in free throw percentage, 16th in three pointers made per game, and 23rd in steals per game.

MARAUDERS PROJECTED TO FINISH 6TH IN THE NSIC
The NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 6th in the conference this season and 2nd in the NSIC North. Last season, UMary finished tied for fifth in the NSIC during the regular season and was knocked out in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.
