BISMARCK, ND – It was a day of firsts for University of Mary men's track and field as multiple athletes earned their first career victories, and others were winners in their season debuts. As a team, UMary won the Marauders 2026 Indoor Opener to start the new year strong.
Making his NCAA debut, freshman
Sheriff Abdul-Razak won the 60m Dash with a 6.91, narrowly beating out teammate
Dawson Hawkinson by 0.04 seconds.
Mark DeArmond earned his first career victory by winning the 150m, setting a school record of 16.78.
Junior transfer
Jack Koppelsloen took home his first win as a Marauder in the 600m, clocking in at 1:23.74.
Gideon Hammah made his season debut and set a school record in the 1000m at 2:27.81. The sophomore was less than two seconds off his school record in the Mile, finishing first with a 4:14.43.
NSIC Cross Country Outstanding Senior of the Year
Caleb Hansen won the 3000m in his season debut, finishing with a time of 8:48.78.

Ryan Koberoski teamed up to win the 4x300m Relay, setting a school record at 2:28.22.
Lucas Kupfer won the Long Jump with a 7.07m leap.
