AUSTIN, TX – A dazzling season on the diamond combined with exceptional work in the classroom earned University of Mary outfielder
Isaac Pegors a spot on the 2025 Academic All-America® NCAA Division II baseball first team as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC). One of a select few, Pegors is the first Marauders baseball player to be recognized as a first team selection on the prestigious CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-America® team and third baseball player honored overall.
Pegors, who earlier this spring became the Marauders first NCAA baseball All-American, is only UMary's fourth scholar-athlete in any sport named a first team CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-America® and the ninth to claim Academic All-America® status overall.
A biology major from Bismarck, ND, Pegors just finished his sophomore season on the field and his junior year academically and owns a 3.85 grade point average.
On the field in 2025 the Marauders right fielder earned All-American honors (3
rd team D2CCA, 3
rd team NCBWA) and was the Northern Sun's Player of the Year. Pegors was also a three-time All-Central Region selection (D2CCA, NCBWA, ABCA/Rawlings) after setting school records for home runs and runs batted in.
The All-NSIC 1st team outfielder bashed 18 home runs and drove in 65 runs during the 2025 season. Over the course of 47 games he hit .398 with a .492 on base percentage and a slugging percentage of .795 for an OPS (on base percentage + slugging percentage) of 1.287. Among his 64 hits were 10 doubles. He also scored 42 runs and stole four bases.
Pegors joins Lexie Schneider (2024 women's basketball 2
nd team), Vanessa Murillo (1
st team swimming & diving 2023, 2
nd team swimming & diving 2024), Cal James (2023 baseball 3

Additionally
Ryan Chamberlain joined Pegors on the 2025 Academic All-District® baseball team, as selected by College Sports Communicators. The Academic All-District® team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
Chamberlain is a graduate student pursuing a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership at the University of Mary. The native of Laramie, WY, earned national pitcher of the week honors this spring for the Marauders and led the team in strikeouts with 47. The junior righthander finished with four wins and pitched 59.2 innings.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District® and All-America® consideration, a scholar-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. Since the program's inception in 1952, CSC has bestowed Academic All-America® honors to student-athletes in Divisions I, II, III and NAIA, covering all NCAA championship sports.
