Marauders host Wolves on Thursday, Travel to Jimmies on Saturday

BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary women's basketball team is set for a split week, starting at home against Northern State University on Thursday, December 4, at 7:30 pm in the McDowell Activity Center. The Marauders then head to Jamestown, ND, to challenge the University of Jamestown on Saturday, December 6, at 3 pm.

THE RECORD
UMary is 7-2 overall and 1-0 in the NSIC.

LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders fell to Western Washington University (72-63) and #23 Central Washington University (89-82) in Bellingham, WA. Bergan Kinnebrew scored a career-high 41 points in the Marauders defeat to CWU.

Kinnebrew's 41 are the second-most points scored by a Marauder in the NCAA era. Cassie Askvig holds the record for most points in a game, scoring 45 in 2020. The Bismarck, ND, native shot 12-of-22 from the field, 2-of-5 from three, and a perfect 15-of-15 from the free throw line.

STAT LEADERS
Bergan Kinnebrew leads the Northern Sun in scoring (25.3 ppg). She holds the most assists (3.6 apg) and steals (17) on the Marauders. She is shooting 50.4% from the floor, 42.9% from three, and 90.1% from the free-throw line. Kinnebrew is 6th in the NSIC in field goal percentage, 4th in free throw percentage, 9th in assists, 12th in assist/turnover ratio, 15th in minutes played, 17th in steals (1.9), and 18th in three pointers made (1.7).

Allison Undlin holds the most rebounds (8.2 rpg) and blocks (20). The Mohall, ND, native is second on the team in scoring (11.2 ppg) on a team-best 54% from the field. Undlin ranks 2nd in the NSIC in blocks and 6th in rebounding.

Emily Jaenke leads all bench scorers, averaging 6.3 ppg. Jaenke ranks 20th in 3-point field goals made per game (1.6) in the NSIC.

Eden Fridley leads the team in assist/turnover ratio (2.8). Fridley ranks 2nd in the NSIC in assist/turnover ratio and 14th in assists (3.1 apg).

OPPO RESEARCH – NSU
Northern State University is 4-2 overall and 0-1 in the Northern Sun. Senior guard Izzy Moore leads the Wolves in scoring, averaging 16.2 ppg on 52.1% shooting from the floor. Freshman guard Lily Klein has the most rebounds (6.3 rpg) at NSU. Senior guard Morgan Fielder is second on the team in scoring (11.2 ppg) and has recorded the most assists (19) on the Wolves.

OPPO RESEARCH – UJ
The University of Jamestown is 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the NSIC. Freshman forward Allie Berns leads the Jimmies in scoring, averaging 15.6 ppg on 55.9% shooting from the field. Sophomore forward Jessika Lofstrom has grabbed the most rebounds (5.6 rpg) on the team. Sophomore guard Daviney Dreckman is second on the team in scoring, averaging 11.4 ppg.

WELCOME BACK
UMary returns three starters from last year's lineup as G Bergan Kinnebrew, G Chloe Pfau, and G Eden Fridley look to see increased roles this season.

Notable key bench returners from last season include F Allison Undlin, G Anna Lenzen, F Cassie Erickson, G Emily Jaenke, and G Brenna Dick.

NEWCOMERS
The Marauders add five freshmen to the roster for the 2025-26 season. G Mashae Miller, Chloe Netzinger, F Senna Mooijekind, G Chloe Nuss, C Tory Jennissen, and G Grace Richardson will all look to make an immediate impact in their freshman campaigns.

COACHING STAFF
Rick Neumann enters his 14th season as the head coach of the UMary women's basketball program. Last season, Neumann passed Fred Fridley for second all-time in program wins last season. He achieved his 200th win on 11.7.2025 against MSU Billings.

Haley Froelich enters her second season as the Marauders assistant coach. Froelich served as the assistant coach at Clarke University for the 2023-24 season, where the Pride went 29-3 and made it to the second round of the NAIA tournament.

KINNEBREW NAMED PLAYER TO WATCH
After being named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference First Team last season, Bergan Kinnebrew was announced as the UMary women's basketball Player to Watch for the 2025-26 season.

Last year, Kinnebrew led the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game. The Bismarck, ND, native shot 38.8% from the field, 35.2% from three, and 84.4% from the free-throw line. The junior ranked 9th in the conference in scoring, 2nd in free throw percentage, 16th in three pointers made per game, and 23rd in steals per game.

MARAUDERS PROJECTED TO FINISH 6TH IN THE NSIC
The NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 6th in the conference this season and 2nd in the NSIC North. Last season, UMary finished tied for fifth in the NSIC during the regular season and was knocked out in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.
