Marauders set to host Golden Eagles, Dragons this week

BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary women's basketball team is set to host the University of Minnesota Crookston on Thursday, December 11, at 7:30 pm in the McDowell Activity Center. UMary then welcomes Minnesota State University Moorhead on Saturday, December 13, at 5:30 pm.

Basketball Ticket Prices – Online

  • Seniors and Youth (ages 13-18) $5 plus fees.

THE RECORD
UMary is 8-3 overall and 2-1 in the NSIC.

LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders took down Northern State University 81-63 at home and fell 60-58 on the road. Eden Fridley produced a career-high 16 points and eight rebounds. The Bismarck, ND, native also recorded six assists, two steals, and one block.

Allison Undlin scored 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting while also grabbing two steals. Anna Lenzen scored 11 points and brought down seven boards.

STAT LEADERS
Bergan Kinnebrew leads the NCAA in points scored (236) and is second in the nation in points per game (23.6). She is shooting 50.4% from the floor, 42.9% from three, and 90.1% from the free-throw line. Kinnebrew is 8th in the NSIC in field goal percentage, 3rd in free throw percentage, 8th in assists, 13th in assist/turnover ratio, 19th in minutes played, 15th in steals (1.9), and 22nd in three pointers made (1.7).

Allison Undlin holds the most rebounds (7.7 rpg) and blocks (27) on the team. The Mohall, ND, native is second on the team in scoring (11.2 ppg) on a team-best 54% from the field. She ranks 3rd in the nation in total blocks, 17th in blocks per game, and 14th in total rebounds. Undlin is 1st in the NSIC in blocks and 5th in rebounding.

Emily Jaenke leads all bench scorers, averaging 7.5 ppg. Jaenke ranks 15th in 3-point field goals made per game (1.8) in the NSIC.

Eden Fridley leads the team in assist/turnover ratio (1.9). Fridley ranks 2nd in the NSIC in assist/turnover ratio and 11th in assists (3.4 apg).

OPPO RESEARCH – UMC
The University of Minnesota Crookston is 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the Northern Sun. Senior guard Emma Miller leads the Golden Eagles in scoring and assists, averaging 18 ppg and 4.0 apg. Freshman forward Anna Westby ranks second in the conference in blocks per game (2.3). Junior forward Rayna Klejeski leads UMC in rebounding (5.9 rpg) and is second on the team in scoring (11.8 ppg).

OPPO RESEARCH – MSUM
Minnesota State University Moorhead is 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the NSIC. Senior forward Terryn Johnson leads the Dragons in scoring and rebounding, averaging 12.7 ppg and 7.0 rpg. Sophomore guard Ashton Safranski leads MSUM in assists (4.6 apg) and steals (2.4 spg). Sophomore forward Caylin Kelly is averaging 10.1 ppg.

WELCOME BACK
UMary returns three starters from last year's lineup as G Bergan Kinnebrew, G Chloe Pfau, and G Eden Fridley look to see increased roles this season.
Notable key bench returners from last season include F Allison Undlin, G Anna Lenzen, F Cassie Erickson, G Emily Jaenke, and G Brenna Dick.

NEWCOMERS
The Marauders add five freshmen to the roster for the 2025-26 season. G Mashae Miller, Chloe Netzinger, F Senna Mooijekind, G Chloe Nuss, C Tory Jennissen, and G Grace Richardson will all look to make an immediate impact in their freshman campaigns.

COACHING STAFF
Rick Neumann enters his 14th season as the head coach of the UMary women's basketball program. Last season, Neumann passed Fred Fridley for second all-time in program wins last season. He achieved his 200th win on 11.7.2025 against MSU Billings.

Haley Froelich enters her second season as the Marauders assistant coach. Froelich served as the assistant coach at Clarke University for the 2023-24 season, where the Pride went 29-3 and made it to the second round of the NAIA tournament.

KINNEBREW NAMED PLAYER TO WATCH
After being named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference First Team last season, Bergan Kinnebrew was announced as the UMary women's basketball Player to Watch for the 2025-26 season.

Last year, Kinnebrew led the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game. The Bismarck, ND, native shot 38.8% from the field, 35.2% from three, and 84.4% from the free-throw line. The junior ranked 9th in the conference in scoring, 2nd in free throw percentage, 16th in three pointers made per game, and 23rd in steals per game.

MARAUDERS PROJECTED TO FINISH 6TH IN THE NSIC
The NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 6th in the conference this season and 2nd in the NSIC North. Last season, UMary finished tied for fifth in the NSIC during the regular season and was knocked out in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.
