Home opener set for Marauders against DSU

BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary women's basketball team looks to stay undefeated as the Marauders host their first home game of the season against Dickinson State University on Tuesday, November 18, at 6 pm in the McDowell Activity Center.

THE RECORD
UMary is 5-0 to start the season, the best start for the Marauders in the NCAA era.

NEUMANN'S 200TH WIN
Head coach Rick Neumann will be honored prior to the game for achieving his 200th career win in the Marauders season opener against MSU Billings. Neumann will also be celebrating his 50th birthday.

FACULTY/ALUMNI GAME
UMary will recognize faculty for their commitment to our student-athletes and honor alumni at halftime. There will be a postgame social following the game at the South Buffalo Wild Wings in Bismarck, ND.

LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders defeated the University of Central Missouri (65-55) and Missouri Southern State University (76-73) in Sioux Falls, SD, last weekend. Bergan Kinnebrew led the way with 22 points against UCM and 32 points against MSSU.

Emily Jaenke had 22 points off the bench against the Lions, shooting 8-of-11 from the field and 4-of-6 from three. Allison Undlin recorded a double-double against the Jennies, scoring 16 points and grabbing ten rebounds.

STAT LEADERS
Bergan Kinnebrew leads the Marauders in scoring (23.8 ppg) and steals (2.4 spg). She is shooting a team-best 52.5% from three and 90.7% from behind the arc.

Allison Undlin holds the most rebounds (9.0 rpg) and blocks (15). The Mohall, ND, native is second on the team in scoring (12.8 ppg) on a team-best 59.2% from the field.

Eden Fridley leads the team in assists (20) on only five turnovers. Fridley has a 4:1 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Chloe Pfau is second on the team in three-point shooting (41.4%) and is averaging 11.0 ppg.

WELCOME BACK
UMary returns three starters from last year's lineup as G Bergan Kinnebrew, G Chloe Pfau, and G Eden Fridley look to see increased roles this season.

Notable key bench returners from last season include F Allison Undlin, G Anna Lenzen, F Cassie Erickson, G Emily Jaenke, and G Brenna Dick.

NEWCOMERS
The Marauders add five freshmen to the roster for the 2025-26 season. G Mashae Miller, Chloe Netzinger, F Senna Mooijekind, G Chloe Nuss, C Tory Jennissen, and G Grace Richardson will all look to make an immediate impact in their freshman campaigns.

COACHING STAFF
Rick Neumann enters his 14th season as the head coach of the UMary women's basketball program. Last season, Neumann passed Fred Fridley for second all-time in program wins last season. He achieved his 200th win on 11.7.2025 against MSU Billings.

Haley Froelich enters her second season as the Marauders assistant coach. Froelich served as the assistant coach at Clarke University for the 2023-24 season, where the Pride went 29-3 and made it to the second round of the NAIA tournament.

KINNEBREW NAMED PLAYER TO WATCH
After being named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference First Team last season, Bergan Kinnebrew was announced as the UMary women's basketball Player to Watch for the 2025-26 season.

Last year, Kinnebrew led the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game. The Bismarck, ND, native shot 38.8% from the field, 35.2% from three, and 84.4% from the free-throw line. The junior ranked 9th in the conference in scoring, 2nd in free throw percentage, 16th in three pointers made per game, and 23rd in steals per game.

MARAUDERS PROJECTED TO FINISH 6TH IN THE NSIC
The NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll projected the Marauders to finish 6th in the conference this season and 2nd in the NSIC North. Last season, UMary finished tied for fifth in the NSIC during the regular season and was knocked out in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament.
