BISMARCK, ND - After an outstanding season on the course, the University of Mary women's cross country team showcased their skills in the classroom as the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) honored the Marauders as a 2023 NCAA Division II All-Academic team.

UMary posted a team GPA of 3.84. The Marauders finished with the second-highest GPA in the nation, only behind The University of Findlay (3.90).

The Marauders finished 19yth at the national championships.

UMary had six scholar-athletes who earned individual All-Academic honors:

• Elizabeth Acheson (Sr. / Northfield, MN / Catholic Studies)
• Alyssa Becker (Jr. / Seabeck, WA / Nursing)
• Teresa Blote (Sr. / Rapid City, SD / Respiratory Therapy)
• Andrijana Fundak (Jr. / Richland, WA / Respiratory Therapy)
• Kristine Kalthoff (Jr. / Albany, MN / Civil Engineering)
• Terez Wycklendt (So. / New Berlin, WI / Exercise Science)

To qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
