A pair of impressive weekends by
Max Bruss and
Lexie Schneider earned the duo Marauders Athletes of the Week honors.

Bruss won four of five matches to lead the #15 Marauders to 6th place and a 3-2 record at the NWCA National Duals while setting the UMary NCAA record for career wins along the way.

The senior All-American opened with a victory over #1 James Penfold of #5 Lake Erie 6-0 in a 21-17 UMary win. The victory over Penfold was the 104th career win for Bruss, breaking Tate Barnhardt's program record for career NCAA wins. He would add a 5-4 win over Bryce Dagel (#4 SCSU) and a 15-0 technical fall over Drake De la Cruz (#25 Glenville State). Ranked 5
th in the nation at 174, Bruss added a 6-1 win over #7 Matt Ortiz of #10 McKendree in a 19-19 win by match point to advance to the 5th place match.

For the third time this season and the second week in a row,
Lexie Schneider earned Northern Sun Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors after leading the University of Mary women's basketball team to two big conference road wins, averaging 25 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 blocks. She shot 15-of-24 from the field (62.5%) and 20-of-28 at the line (71.4%).

This is the sixth time in her career that Schneider was named NSIC Player of the Week, surpassing former teammate Cassie Askvig for the most Northern Sun weekly citations in program history.

Schneider had a season-high 31 points in the Marauders 77-66 win over the University of Minnesota Duluth. The senior added seven rebounds while shooting 10-of-15 from the field. The Appleton, WI, native scored 19 points and had eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in UMary's 60-57 victory over Concordia University, St. Paul. Schneider blocked the Golden Bears game-tying shot and grabbed the rebound to secure a Marauders victory.

The senior leads the NSIC in scoring this season with 20.6 ppg and rebounding with 9.1 rebounds per game. She ranks 6th in the NCAA in scoring and is tied for 37th in rebounding.
