WAYNE, NE –
Emily St. Aubin led the charge for the University of Mary women's golf team at the Wildcat Classic, the final tune-up for the Marauders prior to the conference championships.
St. Aubin fired the best two rounds of the Wildcat Classic for UMary on the Par 72 Wayne (NE) Country Club course that covers 5,918 yards. After posting a 78 on Sunday to open the 2-day meet, she lowered her score on round two and checked in with a 77. Overall she placed 15
th at 11 over par with a total score of 155.
A trio of freshmen claimed the next three slots.
Carrie Carmichael (81-84—165) finished 37
th at +21. Right behind was
Abby Thelen in 39
th place at + 22 (83-83-166) with
Grace Stroh finishing at +26 (86-84—170).
Alli Hulst (91-89—180) rounded out the team scoring and joined St. Aubyn and Stroh in shooting a lower round on day two.
UMary finished 9
th overall after shooting rounds of 328 each day for a total of 856 to finish at 80 over.
The Marauders wrap up their season at the Northern Sun Championships April 28-30 in Smithville, MO.
