BISMARCK, ND – A pair of record fell for the University of Mary women's track & field team in the Marauders final meet before the championship season commences. Competing at home in the Marauders Tune-Up,
Arianna Passeri broke the long jump school record before the squad bested the program's mark in the 4x200 meter relay.
Passeri started hot in the long jump with her first two attempts resulting in NCAA provisional qualifying marks. It was her third try of the day that made history when she sailed 6.05 meters (19'10.25") to break the old mark by .01 meters. An NCAA women's indoor 2
nd team All-American in the long jump last winter, this is the first time she has cracked 6.0 meters indoors. Her former indoor long jump personal best was 5.99 meters. The senior from Rosemount, MN, ranks 4
th in the nation and 2
nd in the Northern Sun.
The former mark was 6.04 meters by Lexus Lovan at the Stinger Open in Black Hills, SD, on February 22, 2020
Passeri also won the 60 meter dash in a time of 7.74 seconds in the three-team meet.
The Marauders quartet of

Taylor Weidner,
Laura Inama and
Sakena Massiah teamed up to the 4x200 meter relay in a scintillating time of 1:43.87 to establish a new UMary record.
The old mark was 1:44.60 in 2004 by Mollie Hoff, LaToya Potter, Katie Rau and Lindsey Carter.
A'Lena Chaney was also a 2-event champion. She captured the 60 meter hurdles (8.92 seconds) and the triple jump (11.09 meters).
