UMary running away with Marauder Invitational

BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary women's golf team dominated the opening of the Marauder Invitational. The Marauders claimed six of the top nine slots on the day as UMary claimed a 67 stroke lead in the three-team standings.
 
Carrie Carmichael and Kaleigh Carmichael are running 1-2 after day one competition at Hawktree Golf Club. Carrie Carmichael posted an 82 to finish 10 strokes over par. Kaleigh Carmichael tallied an 84 to tie for second. Grace Stroh checked in with an 85 and sits fourth overall. Emily St. Aubin rounds out the Marauders team scoring on with an 87 to capture 6th place.
 
The Marauders own a team score of 338. Valley City State is second at 405 and Dickinson State is third at 407.
 
The two-day meet wraps up Tuesday, September 20, when the competition moves to the Riverwood Golf Course in Bismarck, ND. Start time is 9 am.
