LAS VEGAS, NV - The University of Mary men's golf team took 15th in the 5th Annual Warrior Invitational,
hosted by Winona State University. UMary posted a team score of 658. McKendree University, Washburn University and Northeastern State University finished in a tie for first after posting a team score of 598.
"The guys made a nice 14 stroke improvement on day 2. All five guys showed grit and toughness as they never quit," head coach
Laif Olson said.
Cody Brunner led the way for the Marauders as he placed in a tie for 62
nd. Brunner shot 82 on the first day and 78 on the second day, giving the junior a total score of 160.
Gavin Argent finished in a tie for 78
th after shooting a total score 0f 164. Both
Benett Persoon and
Alex Wilson finished in a tie for 90
th, shooting 167 over the two days.
Finishing off the Marauders lineup was
Logan Barrett. Barrett finished the tournament with a total score of 179, which put him in a tie for 105
th.
