Box Score CROOKSTON, MN – Reese Wishart's game-winning layup secured a 72-70 overtime victory for the University of Mary women's basketball team (12-13, 6-10 Northern Sun) over the University of Minnesota Crookston (1-17, 0-12 NSIC).

The first quarter was back-and-forth as UMC would take a 15-16 lead. The Golden Eagles would extend their lead to 31-25, holding UMary to ten points.

The Marauders would cut UMC's lead to 49-44 in the third quarter. UMary would rally back in the fourth quarter and take a three-point lead with three seconds remaining. The Golden Eagles showed resiliency as Emma Carpenter hit a game-tying three just before time expired, sending the game into overtime.

Both teams exchanged baskets in overtime, with the game tied at 70-70 with 27 seconds left in the game. Lexie Schneider would receive the ball in the post before passing to a cutting Reese Wishart, who would hit the game-winning layup with one second remaining on the clock, securing a Marauders win.

Lexie Schneider put up a double-double, scoring 25 points and bringing down 10 rebounds. Megan Voit scored 13 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Ryleigh Wacha posted 12 points while also contributing four rebounds and two blocks. Macy Williams scored 14 points and dished out two assists.

The Marauders lost the rebounding battle to the Golden Eagles 45-40. UMary would turn the ball over 17 times while UMC had 16 turnovers.

The Marauders shot 40.6% from the field, shooting 22.1% from three while going 16-of-21 from the free-throw line. The Golden Eagles shot 34.8% from the field, shooting 7.1% from behind the arc while going 21-of-24 from the charity stripe.
