BISMARCK, ND - The University of Mary women's basketball team (9-7, 3-4 Northern Sun) hits the road to take on The University of Sioux Falls (9-5, 5-3 NSIC) on Friday, January 7, at 7:30 pm. UMary then travels to Marshall, MN, to compete against Southwest Minnesota State University on Saturday, January 8, at 5:30 pm. The Marauders currently sit in tenth place in the NSIC and fifth in the NSIC North.
SATURDAY'S MARAUDERS-MUSTANGS GAME MOVES TO 550 KFYR
The radio broadcast for the UMary men's and women's basketball doubleheader on Saturday, Jan. 8, at Southwest Minnesota State will be broadcast live on KFYR 550 AM. All other games – including the Friday, Jan. 7 game at Sioux Falls – are broadcast on Fox Sports 710, Home of Marauders Basketball, with Voice of the Marauders Jesse Rostvedt calling the action.
Last Time Out
The Marauders were victorious 99-47 in their last contest against Valley City State University.
Megan Zander had an efficient game from the field as she shot 6-of-7 for the game, shooting a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the arc.
Lexie Schneider had 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting, while also grabbing five rebounds.
Macy Williams had nine points and four assists. Williams is now third in all-time assists with 418 as she surpassed Jessica Zundel, who had 415 total.
Ryleigh Wacha had 10 points and five rebounds.
Megan Voit scored nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from three.

The University of Sioux Falls is 9-5 overall and 5-3 in the Northern Sun. USF is fifth in the NSIC and third in the NSIC South. Freshman guard Megan Fannin leads the Cougars in scoring, averaging 15.9 ppg. Leadings USF in rebounding is junior guard Dallie Hoskinson, who averages 7.1 rpg. Hoskinson also leads the Cougars in assists with a total of 50. Senior forward Krystal Carlson is second on the team in scoring with 10.1 ppg.

Rick Neumann is fourth all-time in coaching wins at UMary with 142. In his ninth season, he has a record of 142-125. Hall of Fame coach Roger Haug is the Marauders all-time leader in wins (234), followed by Fred Fridley (170), Cal Collins (150) and Neumann (142).
UMary brought in two assistant coaches
Brooke LeMar and
Chloe Wanink for the 2020-21 season. LeMar was a two-time all-conference after spending her collegiate career at NCAA Division I North Dakota State University. She then went on to play professionally in several countries including Denmark, Germany, Australia and Sweden. LeMar worked as the Director of Player Development at the California Baptist University.
Wanink was a four-year all-conference performer at NCAA Division I Wofford University. She was a three-year captain at Wofford and led the Southern Conference in scoring her junior season averaging 21 points per game. She was named the 2019-20 SoCon Preseason Player of the Year and was named to the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard watchlist.

Megan Voit. Schneider led the NSIC in rebounding and was second on the team in scoring with 12.5 ppg. Voit led the team in total three-pointers made with 22 while averaging 7.9 ppg.

th all-time for the University of Mary in assists.
