Box Score MINNETONKA, MN – The University of Mary tennis team advances to the semifinals with a dominant 4-0 victory over Minnesota Duluth. In a four versus five seed matchup, the lower seeded Marauders competed hard, earning every point in the sweep of the Bulldogs.
 
UMary was able to claim two doubles matches to earn the point. The Marauders then came out hot in singles play, winning number one, two, and four singles to clinch the victory and advance to day two of the tournament.
 
The duo of Dembo and Hegy won number one doubles 6-2 followed by the team of Jamie Stoppler and Danielle Wolf winning 6-2 in number two doubles to clinch the point for doubles play.
 
Tasha Dembo got the Marauders started in singles play in dominant fashion with a 6-1, 6-0 win.
 
Yusra Hegy kept the winning trend rolling for UMary with a 6-0, 6-2 victory in number two singles.
 
Jamie Stoppler clinched the win for the Marauders by giving them their fourth point of the night. Stoppler sealed the deal on a victory with her 6-1, 6-2 victory.
 
UMary advances to the semifinals tomorrow, April 14 at 8 AM against Augustana. The winner of that match advances to the Championship match against the winner of the Sioux Falls, MSU Moorhead semifinals match at 12 PM.
