UMary Tennis Faces First Road Challenges Of Season This Weekend

BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary Tennis team has a busy weekend ahead with three matches on the docket. The Marauders will travel to Mankato, Minnesota to take on Minnesota State on Friday, February 15 at 6:30 PM. They will follow that up with two matches on Saturday, February 16 in Mankato, MN. The Marauders open the day up against Gustavus Adolphus College at 8:30 AM. UMary will close out the weekend against Southwest Minnesota State at 1 PM on Saturday, February 16.
 
The Marauders come into this weekend with a 1-1 record after splitting opening weekend at home. UMary dropped their season opener to NSIC favorites Augustana. The Marauders then bounced back and took down Sioux Falls by a score of 4-3. The Marauders clinched doubles with the teams of Tasha Dembo / Kelsey Lajom and Danielle Wolf / Jamie Stoppler coming out victorious. In singles Dembo won #1 singles, Stoppler won #3 singles and Julie Donnely won #6 singles to give UMary just enough to take down the Cougars.
 
UMary will look to keep the winning trend going over their three matches this upcoming weekend.
