The University of Mary women's basketball team heads to Minnesota this weekend for a pair on NSIC road contests. The Marauders open up the weekend with a game on Friday, December 6 at 5:30 PM against St. Cloud State. They will follow that up with another road test against Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, December 7 at 3:30 PM.

LAST TIME OUT
The last time the Marauders took the court was for their NSIC opener where they took down Minot State 66-50 to begin conference play 1-0. The Marauders had a dominant second half. After trailing by six at half, UMary outscored the Beavers by 22 in the second half to claim the win. Cassie Askvig led the way with a 19 point, 10 rebound double-double. Gillette, Williams, and Rotunda all recorded 11 points during the game.

The Marauders come into the weekend with a 7-3 record, starting the season 1-0 in NSIC play.

OPPO RESEARCH – ST. CLOUD STATE
The Huskies come into the week with a 3-2 record, going 0-1 in NSIC play. SCSU began their season with three straight wins before dropping their last two games. Three Huskies average double figure points with Madelin Dammann leading the way with 12.6 PPG. She also leads the team with five rebounds per contest. SCSU's strongest asset is their defensive ability. The Huskies rank third in the NSIC in steals, averaging 9.8 per game. They hold opponents to 57.6 PPG which is the fifth lowest in the NSIC.

LAST MATCHUP
The last time the Marauders and Huskies met was last season when SCSU held the advantage taking down UMary 83-70 in St. Cloud, MN. Askvig recorded 22 points and six rebounds on the game and Macy Williams pitched in 10 points and eight assists.

The Bulldogs come into the weekend with a 4-3 record, 1-0 in NSIC play. After falling to an 0-3 record to start the year, with losses against #1 Drury, #5 Fort Hays State, and Missouri Western State, the Bulldogs turned it around winning their next four games all by double digits. Brooke Olson leads the team with 16.6 PPG and 7.1 RPG. UMD makes it difficult to get shots off, ranking fourth in the conference in blocked shots with 3.43 per game. Two Bulldogs rank in the top ten in the NSIC in blocked shots with Sarah Grow leading the way in sixth with 1.4 per game.

The last time UMD and UMary squared up was in Duluth, MN last season. The Bulldogs held the advantage taking down the Marauders 78-71. Macy Williams had a big 22 point performance with Askvig adding an 11 point, 10 rebounds double-double.
