TAHLEQUAH, OK – The University of Mary women's basketball team continues to impress many with their dominant performances so far this season. The Marauders are ranked 8th in the D2SIDA Central Region poll released Mon. Jan 7. This is the first time this season that UMary has been ranked in the poll.

UMary received 15 points this week to go from not ranked last week to eighth this week.

The Marauders boast a 9-2 record overall and a 7-1 record in NSIC play.

Two dominant double digit wins over the weekend, a four game winning streak, and an undefeated 6-0 record on the home court have helped UMary to continue to climb the rankings.

MSU Moorhead was the highest ranked team in the NSIC coming in at #3 while Augustana was ranked #4. Sioux Falls received votes this week.

The Marauders look to continue their impressive season as they take to the road for a four game road stretch. UMary will take on Minnesota Duluth on Friday, January 11 at 5:30 PM and St. Cloud State on Saturday, January 12 at 3:30 PM.
