The last time the Marauders took the field at the Rimrock Classic in Billings, MT, where the Marauders split a pair of matches. UMary opened the tournament against the Sonoma State Seawolves. Despite six saves by goalkeeper
Lukas Billhardt and several opportunities to score late, the Marauders fell 2-0. Their next match of the tournament was a different story. The Marauders squared up against Colorado Christian University and flexed their muscles to dominate the match 2-0, taking three times as many shots as the Cougars.

OPPO RESEARCH – SIMON FRASER UNIVERSITY
Simon Fraser University boasts a 4-0 record on the season, average 2.5 goals per game and only giving up 0.5 goals per game. SFU opened their season up with four games in California dominating each one. They are currently ranked 4th in the nation.

The Marauders opened the season against SFU last year and it was not pretty. The Marauders fell 8-0. UMary was only able to get off two shots during this match in comparison the SFU's 24.

OPPO RESEARCH – MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY BILLINGS
The Montana State University Billings Yellow Jackets currently hold a 1-3-1 record coming into the weekend. The Yellow Jackets started out the season 0-3 playing all teams from California. Their last two games have resulted in a loss and a tie.

The last time UMary took on Montana State University Billings was in the 2017 season. The Yellow Jackets had the Marauders number that day, beating UMary 4-2 in a high scoring affair.

Adam Stringer had taken over as the team's leading scorer on the season after knocking in his second goal of the season when he fought off a Colorado Christian defender and blasted the ball into the net off of an assist by
Zack Jensen.
Mitch Carter was able to get into the scoring column when he was lead with an assist from
Blake Palmquist for a long goal.

DEFENSE!!!
Lukas Billhardt has been well worth the wait, posting two shutouts in his first three games of the season. The one match he did not post a shutout, he recorded an impressive six saves while only allowing two shots to sneak by.
