Carter, Stringer, Boehm Score Goals As Marauders Take Down Brandon In Final Game Of Season

Box Score WINNIPEG, MANITOBA – In the final game of the season the University of Mary men's soccer team brought their A game, taking down Brandon University by a score of 3-2. Keaton Boehm, Adam Stringer, and Mitch Carter all accounted for UMary goals to end the season on a high note.
 
With the win, UMary finishes the season with a 2-11-1 record. Brandon falls to 10-2-1. The Marauders handed the Bobcats their first loss of the season on their home pitch.
 
Keaton Boehm got the scoring going for the Marauders in the 25th minute with a goal to put the Marauders up 1-0. Boehm received an assist off a free kick from Adam Stringer and fired in the goal.
 
The Bobcats countered with a goal in the 40th minute to send the game to half tied at one.
 
Adam Stringer put the Marauders back in front just three minutes into the second half. Stringer would head the ball in off of an assist from Stanley Joseph.
 
Mitch Carter put the Marauders up 3-1 in the 70th minute when he fired in a shot from outside of the box. Stanley Joseph assisted on the play, giving him two assists on the game.
 
The Bobcats were able to make the game 3-2 with a goal with two minutes left in the matchup.
 
UMary controlled the pace of play, holding a large lead in shots on the game, 29-11. 17 of the Marauders shots were on goal compared to six by the Bobcats.
 
The Marauders recorded 10 corner kicks on the matchup compared to just three by Brandon University.
 
Lukas Billhardt earned the win in goal for the Marauders, his second of the season.
 
The Marauders seniors went out with a bang with Carter and Stringer recording goals, Billhardt earning the win, and Jaden Allen heading a defense that held the opposition to just six shots on goal.
