SAINT LEO, FL – Playing in their final game in the sunshine state, the University of Mary men's soccer team took on the Saint Leo Lions. The Lions held the advantage over the Marauders scoring in the 6th and 62nd minute of play to claim a 2-0 victory.
With the loss the Marauders fall to 1-11-1 on the season. The Lions improve to 7-9 on the season.
Saint Leo did not take long to get on the board, scoring 6:21 into the game. They followed that up with a second half goal at 62:34 to put themselves up 2-0 and put the game out of reach for UMary.
Lukas Billhardt recorded a game high of six saves on the game, seeing a total of 13 shots, eight of which were on goal.
The Marauders got off eight shots during the game, four of them being on goal. Zack Jensen led the team with two shots on goal. Jensen and Nick Ambrozic each had two shots on the game to lead the Marauders in that category.
UMary will conclude their season against Brandon University on Sunday, November 10 at 1 PM in Brandon, Manitoba.
