BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary tennis team makes their home appearances of the season this weekend when the Marauders host Southwest Minnesota State University and Minnesota State University on Friday and Saturday, February 23-24, at the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center.
 
The Marauders open their two-match home stand against the Mustangs at 3 pm on Friday. The Marauders and the Mavericks battle on Saturday starting at 12:30 pm.
 
UMary will honor its three seniors prior to Friday's match. Competing in their last season for the Marauders are 
Cristina Bremar, 
Eileen Leong and 
Shanna Stevenson.
 
A native of Del Mar, CA, Bremar moved from doubles as a sophomore into the singles lineup midway through last year. This season she has played all four matches at #5 singles and is 2-2. She is already a three-time member of the All-Academic team.
 
Entering her fourth year in the lineup in both doubles and singles, Leong is playing #3 singles and #2 doubles for the Marauders. A three-time ITA All-Academic team selection, the Pierre, SD, native is 2-2 at #2 doubles and 2-2 at #3 singles.
 
A three-time ITA All-Academic selection, Stevenson saw limited action as a freshman before playing 12 singles matches as a sophomore. Last year she teamed up with 
Lisa Anderson to hold down #3 doubles and posted a winning record and continues to hold that slot down this season.
 
The Marauders are 1-3 after two weekends of play behind a young lineup. The lone win was a 5-4 victory over St. Cloud State.
 
In addition to sophomores 
Lucia Bolibruch and 
Danielle Wolf, three freshmen also have seen time in the lineup. 
Kelsey Lajom is playing #2 singles, 
Julie Donnelly has also fit into the singles lineup and 
Emily Bichler has competed in doubles for UMary.
