Box Score SIOUX FALLS, SD – Fresh off their first win of the season, the University of Mary tennis team had no answer against the Augustana juggernaut. The visiting Marauders dropped a 9-0 decision to the Vikings, which ran Augie's NSIC win streak to 91 straight matches.
Shanna Stevenson and
Lisa Anderson were the only Marauders double team to avoid a shutout with an 8-2 loss at #3 doubles to Grace Goble and Rebecca Falkner.
Lucia Bolibruch pushed hard at #1 singles in a 6-2, 6-2 loss to Berkley Darr but couldn't earn the points needed to win the game, which was the story across the board for the Marauders. At #3 singles.
Eileen Leong suffered a 6-2, 6-1 loss while
Cristina Bremar fell 6-1, 6-0 to Kaitlyn Schultz at #5. UMary suffered shutouts at the other three singles matches.
The Marauders, 1-2 overall and in Northern Sun play, take on the University of Sioux Falls on Sunday, February 18, before returning home to host a pair of matches on February 23-24.
