BURNSVILLE, MN – Leading the Marauders to two big conference wins this weekend has earned
Gabbie Bohl Northern Sun North Division Player of the Week honors!
Bohl averaged an NSIC best of 28.5 points per game last week to go along with her 13.5 rebounds per game.
The junior sparked the University of Mary to a big win over St. Cloud State with her massive double- double of 27 point and 19 rebounds. Three blocks were added to her impressive stat line on the day. Bohl knocked downs an astounding 13 of 14 free throws against the Huskies.
Bohl followed her big game against the huskies up with an equally impressive game against the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth. The Marauders forward recorded 30 points on the day to tie her career high. She added eight boards on the day. Misses were a rare occurrence for Bohl against UMD as she knocked down 75 percent of her shots from the field against the Bulldogs.
The Minot, ND natives big weekend moved her into 15th all time on the UMary scoring list with 1,112 career points.
Bohl is averaging a double-double on the season with 22.3 points and 11 rebounds.
The Marauders boast a 5-1 record on the season, winning their last four games. UMary is undefeated in conference play with a 3-0 record.
The team has begun to catch the eye of many with the Marauders receiving votes in the most recent regional poll.
UMary is back in action on Friday, December 14 against MSU Moorhead at 5:30 PM in Moorhead, MN. They follow that up with a game against Northern State on Saturday, December 15 at 3:30 PM in Aberdeen, SD
