BISMARCK, N.D. – Morris Morrison, one of the fastest-growing motivational speakers in the country, will bring his positive message of success to the University of Mary Marauders student-athletes. Set for Tuesday, February 2, the event is hosted by U-Mary and sponsored by North Dakota Safety Council.
 
According to his online biography, after being orphaned twice at a young age, Morris Morrison used the fundamentals of athletics to accomplish much success, including: receiving his Bachelors and Masters Degrees, working for several fortune 500 companies, and successfully launching Morrison Global Brands. He credits the role that athletics played in his life - influencing his ability to not only transition beyond the adversity that life has thrown his way, but also for the structure and discipline that it took to become a successful college student, business professional, and most important, his transition to becoming a successful husband and father. 
 
Today, he is in high demand as a global speaker who works with many large companies such as Microsoft, The NBA and many others. His College Athletics Life-Skills programs have impacted countless student athletes at institutions across the country. Morris Morrison "translates" the fundamental skills that all athletes have, and he coaches athletes to leverage their athletic skills to dominate in non-athletic arenas. Morrison has worked with some of the largest D1 programs in the country, including Notre Dame, the University of Florida and Coach Urban Meyer's staff at Ohio State. 
 
Morrison will speak to the Marauders student-athletes on transitioning their skills they have learned in sports to the "real world".
