Glor headlines Marauders efforts at Bison Classic

FARGO, N.D. – In her first race since winning the NCAA Division II women's cross country championship, All-American Alexis Zeis guaranteed herself a slot at the NCAA indoor national championships and headlined the University of Mary men's and women's indoor track & field team's first outing in over a month at the Bison Classic.
 
Zeis, a sophomore from Bismarck, N.D., took second in the mile run with an automatic qualifying time of 4:49.34. Her time is currently the top mark in NCAA Division II.
 
The Marauders women's squad also captured two Bison Classic titles while competing at against several NCAA Division I squads and also posted a pair of provisional qualifying marks. For the men, freshman Luxon Glor placed in the top seven in two different field events.
 
All-American Davina Carr, a junior from Nine Mile Falls, Wash., won the pole vault with an effort of 3.91 meters. It was an NCAA provisional qualifying mark for Carr, who recorded an automatic qualifying height earlier this season.
 
Maria Bolibruch recorded the other victory for the Marauders. The freshman captured the 60 meter hurdles in a provisional qualifying time of 8.82 seconds.
 
Several other Marauders also posted strong efforts. Senior Molly McDonald placed second behind Bolibruch in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.99 seconds. McDonald also placed fourth in the high jump, clearing 1.63 meters.
 
Chante Spotser ran a time of 59.24 seconds in the 400 meter dash to place fourth. Josie Guptill was fourth with a time of 2:43.72 in the 600 meter run.
 
Two Marauders finished in the top seven of the 1,000 meter run. Jaiden Schuette was fourth in 3:06.15 and Jackie Harmon claimed seventh in 3:12.26.
 
Senior Faith Kjelstrup placed fourth in the triple jump with an effort of 11.26 meters and claimed eighth in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.01 seconds.
 
Melanie Rodriguez placed sixth in the 200 meter dash at 26.19 seconds.
 
Kaycee Luke cleared the pole vault bar at 3.31 meters to take seventh. Jasmyn Garcia sailed 5.31 meters to place seventh in the long jump. Kylie Pastian was seventh in the triple jump at 10.98 meters.
 
Sommer Haugrud placed eighth in the 800 meter run in a clocking of 2:23.44.
 
A freshman from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Glor claimed top slots in both the long and triple jump. Glor took fifth in the triple jump with an effort of 13.88 meters. He finished just ahead of teammate William Kaigler, who leapt 13.79 meters. Glor also placed seventh in the long jump after posting a mark of 6.67 meters.
 
Two Marauders finished in the top eight of the high jump. Senior Joe Berger placed fifth with an effort of 1.98 meters. Dustin Rueb was just behind in 8th place after clearing the bar at 1.88 meters.
 
Riley Miller tied Berger and Glor for the Marauders top finish of the day after placing 5th in the long jump at 6.78 meters.
 
Gabriel Wyllie was ninth in the 600 meter run with a clocking of 1:25.82. Nathan Inkman snared tenth in the 1,000 meter run in 2:43.72.
 
The Marauders next compete at the Jim Emmerich Invitational in Brookings, South Dakota, on January 22.
