Jordan Washington combined to win four events for the University of Mary men's outdoor track & field team at the 2015 Marauder Open.
The Marauders hosted a meet for the first time in nearly three years and for the first time since the MDU Resources Community Bowl was renovated. The last meet hosted in Bismarck by U-Mary was the 2012 Northern Sun outdoor championships.
A senior from Rugby, N.D., Teigen won both the long and triple jumps for the second straight week. After capturing the long jump with an effort of 23' 4.75", he came back with an NCAA provisional qualifying distance of 48' 10" in the triple jump.
The other NCAA provisional qualifying mark of the day was posted by Gavin in the discus. The Blaine, Minn., native claimed second in the discus with a toss of 167' 6". The senior also had a win in the shot put with a best effort of 46' 4".
Washington captured the 400 meter run when the native of Katy, Texas, was clocked in 49.91 seconds.
Overall the Marauders captured six wins in 18 events.
Steven Gordon posted a time of 8:53.49 to win the 3,000 meter run, winning the event by just 1.48 seconds.
Dustin Rueb was victorious in the high jump, clearing the bar at 6' 5". He also took third in the long jump (22' 0.75").
The Marauders also had several other big finishes on the day. Cory Berner claimed second in the 200 meter run (21.89 seconds).
Jay Cooper was second in the 110 meter hurdles (15.18 seconds).
William Kaigler finished only behind Teigen in the triple jump (46' 2.75").
Next up for the Marauders are the Mount SAC Relays (March 16-18), the Long Beach State Invitational (April 18) and the Blue Hawk Games (April 18).
