BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Mary Women's Tennis team is back in Bismarck this week for what will be the final home matches for the Marauders for the regular season.
 
U-Mary will take on Augustana College on Saturday, February 21, at 9 a.m., at the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center. They will then host the University of Sioux Falls on Sunday, February 22, at 9 a.m., at the same venue.
 
The Marauders are still looking for their first victory of the season, but came close during last week's matches despite falling to both St. Cloud State University and the University of Minnesota Duluth, 8-1 and 5-4, respectively.
 
Catherine Gibbens filled in for an injured Sarah Janes at the number one spot in the singles matchups and she responded with victories against the Huskies and the Bulldogs.
 
Meredith Holt lost her singles matchup against St. Cloud but bounced back with a victory against Minnesota Duluth; Anastasia Bruss got her first victory of the year against the Bulldogs; and Eileen Leong earned her first victory of the year against the Bulldogs as well.
 
Unfortunately for the Marauders, they couldn't overcome the Bulldogs as they lost two doubles matchups after going to tiebreaker.
 
The Vikings are 5-1 on the year with a 2-0 record in the Northern Sun and currently sit on a four-match winning streak.
 
They have a combined 17-1 record in all Northern Sun matchups, both singles and doubles, with victories against Minnesota State University and Southwest Minnesota State University, and their only loss on the year came against the University of South Dakota.
 
The Cougars are 2-1 on the year with a 1-1 record in the NSIC; they defeated Southwest Minnesota State back on February 14, but fell to Minnesota State the next day.
