Regional Rankings: For the first time since joining the NCAA in 2006, U-Mary has cracked the Central Region rankings. U-Mary, who is 10-1 in region competition and 10-3 against NCAA opponents, cracked the ranking at No. 9. Not playing an NCAA opponent since the first rankings, the Marauders have remained at No. 9 the past two weeks.

Record Setting: Concluding their regular season with a win over Mt. Mary College, the Marauders won their seventh straight match. Not losing since March 8 against Wayne State (Mich.), U-Mary has now set an NCAA era program record (since 2006) with 12 wins. Winners of their last eight conference matches, the Marauders have also set a program record with 10 NSIC wins. U-Mary hasn't lost a conference match since Feb. 15 against Augustana.

Ranked Opponents: Two of U-Mary's three losses this season have come against opponents ranked in the ITA top-50. U-Mary fell to #38 Augustana College on Feb. 15 and #50 Wayne State (Mich.) on March 8.

Going out with a Bang: Senior captain Hallie Welk has been the Marauders most consistent performer in her final season for U-Mary holding an 11-4 mark at No. 1 singles and 13-2 mark at No. 2 doubles. In NSIC action Welk is 9-2 in singles and 10-1 in doubles play. Welk was named Northern Sun Player of the Week for the third time in her career on March 31.

Dominant Duo: The duo of Hallie Welk and Kate O'Connell at No. 2 doubles has been one of the most dominant in the Northern Sun. Welk and O'Connell started the season with eight consecutive conference wins, including an 8-6 win over Augustana for its only loss at No. 2 doubles all season (20-1). Since losing their streak to Winona State, Welk and O'Connell have won their last three matches to end the regular season.

Fab Freshmen: Freshmen Catherine Gibbens, Meredith Holt and Anastasia Bruss have stepped into the Marauders lineup and made an immediate impact. Holding down No. 3-No. 5 singles, the trio has combined for a 26-15 record, including a 20-10 mark in NSIC matches. With Gibbens playing No. 1 doubles and Holt and Bruss teaming up at No. 3, the freshmen have a 16-10 combined doubles record and a 14-5 conference mark.

Finishing Strong: After several close losses early in the season, Sarah Janes has hit her stride for the Marauders and has won eight consecutive matches at No. 2 singles and five straight at No. 1 doubles. Janes was named Northern Sun Player of the Week on April 7.
