Box Score Durango, CO—After a disappointing 2-1 loss to Fort Lewis College on Thursday, the University of Mary men's soccer team (0-2) looked to finish their opening weekend road trip with a win. Squaring off against Texas A&M International University (1-2), U-Mary fell by a final of 3-1.

The Marauders lone goal was scored by
Jordan Pearce (1) and was assisted by Jonathon Sellars and
Rory Pratt.

Diego Manzano-Cano scored two of the Dustdevils three goals.

TAMIU scored just 10 minutes into the game on a strike from Manzano-Cano. U-Mary entered intermission trailing 1-0, but a goal by Pearce tied the game at 1-1 in the 56th minute. Seven minutes later Manzano-Cano found the back of the net again to give TAMIU a 2-1 lead. Just two minutes later the Dustdevils put the game out of reach taking a two-goal lead.

The Marauders held a 15-10 advantage in shots, but TAMIU edged U-Mary 6-5 in shots on goal.

The Marauders will be back in action on Thursday Sept. 19. U-Mary will open conference play at home against Saint Martin's University at the MDU Resources Community Bowl beginning at 8 PM.Â
