Box Score BOX SCORE

Mandan, ND – Rory Pratt scored twice in his first appearance before the University of Mary home fans and lifted the Marauders to a 3-3 draw against Rocky Mountain College.

A sophomore from Dublin, Ireland, Pratt scored the Marauders (0-2-1 overall) first goal of the season and the game's initial goal in the 15th minute. The Battlin' Bears (4-1) pulled even less than three minutes later on Oliver Gore's first of the night. Nick Heffernan followed in the 32nd minute for RMC, which would take a 2-1 lead into intermission.

Just 1:53 into the second half U-Mary tied the score at 2-2 when Joe Wood placed a header into the net off a cross from Cam Hager.

A spectacular individual effort from Pratt pushed the Marauders back in front at 55:09. Picking up the ball just inside midfield, the forward sprinted past two defenders before beating the RMC goalkeeper.

Gore would find the net for the second time of the night at 81:49 to knot the score at 3-3

Both teams would have chances to win the game in each of the two overtime sessions but neither could find the back of the net.

In goal, Michael Frenzel made nine saves for U-Mary to eight for RMC's Joachim Soderstrom.

A free-wheeling game, RMC held a 27-18 advantage in shots attempted but just a 12-11 edge in shots on net. The Battlin' Bears also enjoyed a 15-8 edge in corner kicks.

U-Mary will next host the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology on Sunday, September 9. Game time is 1 PM at the Bismarck Community Bowl.
