Bismarck, ND – Capturing a pair of the doubles matches coupled with wins in the top two singles matches by Brianna Thomas and Megan Bosch led the University of Mary women's tennis team to a 5-4 Marauders win over the visiting University of Minnesota, Crookston Golden Eagles.
 
Thomas and Julia Amundson cruised to an 8-3 win in the top doubles match and Bosch and Amanda Hennessy teamed up for an 8-2 victory in #3 doubles, earning the Marauders a 2-1 advantage entering singles play.
 
The Marauders quickly clicked off the singles wins needed to capture the Northern Sun match. Thomas defeated Katelyn Johnson 6-4, 6-4 in the #1 singles match. Bosch followed up with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Cassie Jarvis in the #2 singles slot.  
 
Securing the U-Mary victory was Rachel Brown, who rolled to a 6-2, 6-1 victory in the fifth slot over Alyssa Klingenberg. The Golden Eagles captured the last three singles matches to narrow the gap.
 
U-Mary closes out the season when it hosts Winona State University on Saturday, April 14, at 9 AM.
