Megan Bosch picked up the first individual win of the season for the University of Mary but the Marauders suffered an 8-1 loss to Upper Iowa University in Northern Sun women's tennis.
A senior from Bismarck, ND, Bosch had to go into the tiebreaker to pull out the win in the #5 singles match. She defeated Patty Vanderhoeven 6-2, 6-7 (3-7), 10-8.
Rachel Brown came close to forcing her match into a tiebreaker but fell just short in a 6-2, 7-6 (7-1) loss to Jennah Smith.
The Marauders close out their three-game road swing to open the season against the University of Minnesota Duluth on Sunday, February 12.
