UPDATE: The Minot State game on Saturday has been bumped to KBMR 1130 AM (www.kbmr.com). This will be reflected online for people who click on the listen live link. The change was made due to an all-day local fundraiser on KFYR and Bison football.

Since last time the Marauders have won three straight games. In a game that saw seven ties and nine lead changes, U-Mary's Kelsey Peltier scored the game winning basket with 28 seconds remaining as the Marauders held on for a 68-65 win over Sonoma State University. In a game that saw 46 combined turnovers, the Marauders rolled past California Maritime 76-48. Finally as the Marauders made their home debut, they were able to cruise past Valley City 69-42.

This weekend U-Mary will begin their conference season as they host Minot State at the Bismarck Civic Center.

DOUBLE-DIPPING: After finishing last season with just one double-double, Shaunna Knife has already surpassed that mark by recording a double-double in four of the Marauders first five games. Knife's four double doubles now brings her career total to ten. Since joining the NCAA, Anna Skala holds the U-Mary single-season mark with 10 double doubles in 2008-09 season.

STRONG START: The Marauders have jumped out to a 4-1 start for the second straight season. Last season U-Mary finished 19-10 overall. In 2008-09 The Marauders had their best start since being a part of the NCAA with a 5-1 mark. That year U-Mary finished the season 15-12.

STRETCH: The Northern Sun has agreed to take their streaming broadcast to Stretch Internet begining with this basketball season. Stretch will provide a video stream for all U-Mary home games and NSIC road contests that can be accessed at goumary.com.

Stretch Internet is mobile friendly. Fans can click on the link on any iPhone device or mobile device that supports Flash 10.1 or greater (most Android phones, with other platforms coming shortly) to see a simplified interface (just a schedule of events) and will be able to tune in to any of our streams.

NSIC: With the release of the 2012 NSIC Women's Basketball Coaches Poll, U-Mary was voted fifth with 171 points. Augustana College (S.D.), with 225 points, was picked to win the Northern Sun with 15 out of 16 first place votes. The Marauders, who finished third in the NSIC last year, were the only other team to receive a first place vote. In the North Division, the Marauders were voted second with 41 points. Minnesota Duluth edged U-Mary with 46 points. This is the first season of divisional play in the NSIC. Last season the Marauders finished first among the teams that make up the North Division this year. With the release of the pre-season poll, the Northern Sun also announced their players to watch. Ali Collins was named a Northern Sun Player to Watch.
