Last week the Marauders were on the road to take on the University of Sioux Falls. Down early, U-Mary was able to battle back to tie the game, but unable to take the lead as they went on to tie the University of Sioux Falls Cougars 1-1. Appearing to not be ready for the attempt, U-Mary gave up a goal to Sioux Falls on a free kick in the 28th minute. Tightening up their focus, the Marauders were able to hold the Cougars scoreless from that point on. Down at halftime, the Marauders answered back in the 63rd minute as Rory Pratt scored his fifth goal of the season. Coming off of a free kick by Aaron Mc Ewlee, the score tied the game at 1-1. The two teams would remain tied heading into overtime. Each team was able to get a shot on goal in the first overtime period, but that was it as the two teams tied 1-1.
This week U-Mary will be back on the road as they head west to take on Simon Fraser and Western Washington.
Next week the Marauders will be at home for a rematch with a pair of GNAC foes. First up will be Seattle Pacific University. Last time these two teams played, the Marauders fell 3-1. Next up will be Saint Martin's University. U-Mary defeated Saint Martin's for their first ever GNAC win earlier in the season 2-0.
