Offensive and Defensive Struggles Leads to Loss for Men's Soccer

Box Score Billings, Mont. – The University of Mary got down early and was never able to rebound as they fell 5-1 to Montana State University Billings (10-4-2, 6-4-2 GNAC).
                                                                                                            
Robin Wettach-Glosser scored the lone goal for the Marauders in the 84th minute.
 
The Yellow Jackets were led in the game by the exceptional play of midfielders Kyle Emerick and Thomas Chameraud. Emerick recorded a hat trick and added an assist for a game total of seven points. Chameraud assisted on the first three goals of the game and scored the fourth.
 
The Marauders got down early as the Yellow Jackets scored the first goal of the game just 2:13 into the contest. MSUB added another goal in the 44th minute to hold the lead 2-0 going into intermission.
 
Up 2-0, Billings refused to take the foot off the gas as they scored two more unanswered goals, one in the 57th minute and one in the 60th. It was not until the 84th minute that the Marauders were able to get on the board to make the game 4-1. Wettach-Glosser headed the ball into the back of the net on a pass from Adam Potter for his first goal of the season.  Emerick added a goal with just 25 second remaining to complete the hat trick and put MSUB up 5-1.
 
In the game U-Mary was out shot 18-5. Billings held the edge in shots on target 10-5.
 
Starting the second half for the Marauders, Nenad Skenderovic made his first appearance in net.
 
U-Mary (4-9-3, 3-7-2 GNAC) will continue their road-trip as they take on Northwest Nazarene University of Monday.  The last time these two teams met, the Marauders fell 2-1 in overtime.
