Mandan, N.D. -- In physical game that a saw 34 fouls and eight yellow cards, the University of Mary held on for a 3-1 win over Saint Martin's University (3-12-0, 2-9-0 GNAC).
 
The Marauders got on the board in the 20th minute on a goal by Joe Wood assisted by Rory Pratt. Saint Martin's answered back in the 38th minute to tie the game at 1-1 on a goal by Emil Kirov. The game would remain tied as the game entered half time.
 
Sixteen minutes into the second half Pratt scored on a ball that was initially stopped by the goalkeeper, but had enough momentum to find the back of the net. Saint Martin's offense went on the attack and looked poised to tie the game. The Marauders responded as Pratt tallied for the second time of the game and seventh of the season in the 83rd minute. Pratt was assisted on the goal by Wood. U-Mary held on the the lead as they went on to win 3-1.
 
U-Mary out shot Saint Martin's 21-13 overall on the night and 11-6 in shots on goal.
 
Michael Frenzel played another good game in net for the Marauders recording five saves on the night.
 
With two goals and an assist, Pratt totaled seven points on the weekend. Pratt is leading the team with seven goals.
 
The Marauders (4-8-3, 3-6-2 GNAC) will be back in action at Montana State Billings on Oct. 27.
