Janet Johnson took over the Northern Sun lead in the 60 meter hurdles by blazing to an 8.73 second clocking over the barriers. A national qualifier in the hurdles a year ago, the sophomore came back later in the Concordia Cobber Dual meet to place second in the 60 meter dash in a time of 8.00. The speedster from Kingston, Jamaica, also placed fourth in the long jump (17’ ½”).
