This week’s NDPF Female Athlete of the Week is Victoria Murillo. Murillo was named Swimmer of the Meet Saturday night after an outstanding performance at the 2023 NSIC Swimming & Divining Championships in West Fargo, ND. Murillo won a gold medal in each of her four major events on each day of the four-day meet. Murillo claimed first place in the 1000 free (10:16.09), 200 free (1:50.96), 500 free (4:58.55), and 1650 free (17:18.54). UMary Swimming finished sixth place overall out of nine Northern Sun teams with 225 points. Murillo, a graduate senior from Cancun, Mexico, also beat NCAA B standard times in each of her four victories last week which gives her a strong possibility of swimming at the NCAA DII National Championships next month in Indianapolis, IN.
