2021 (Redshirt Junior)
Emmitt split time at heavyweight with teammate Dom Tudor. He posted a 1-4 record on the year.
Brooks was voted Team Chemist by coaches and teammates.
 
2020 (Redshirt Sophomore)
Emmitt redshirted and competed at 285lbs. He posted a 4-6 record; placing 4th at the Dragon Open and 5th at the Tyler Plummer Classic. He registered two majors and one technical fall.

2019 (Sophomore)
Entering his second season at UMary, Emmitt bumped up to HWT improving his record by posting an 11-5 record with two pins and one major decision. Brooks placed 4^th at the Jamestown Open, and 3^rd at the Dragon Open. Emmitt brought the 1,118 strong MAC Mob alive by gritting out an overtime victory during the non-conference home dual vs in state rival Minot State.

2018 (Freshman)
As a 197-pound starter as a freshman, Emmitt finished with a 5-17 record.
Emmitt placed third at the Jimmie Open and fourth at the Cobber Open.
 
PRIOR TO UMARY
High School
Emmitt attended Chaparrel high school in California. He went 1-2 at the California State Tournament as a senior in 2017. Emmitt placed first at the Southwestern League Finals and the CIF Southern Section before taking sixth at the CIF Southern Section Masters Tournament and finished senior season with a record of 38-15 with 24 pins. He also earned fastest pin recorded in 16 seconds, team captain honors as a junior and senior and team most valuable player as a senior. Emmitt competed in wrestling, football, and track & field.
 
Personal
Emmitt is the son of Lester Brooks. Emmitt will study Business Administration with a minor in Marketing at the University of Mary.
