2020-21 (Freshman)
As a freshman, Sane ran an indoor track PR of 4:40 for the mile. He was kept from competing in the outdoor track season due to injury. He maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.0 for both fall and spring semesters, making the Dean’s list twice.

PRIOR TO UMARY
High School
During his high school career, Sande has placed in the top 20 at the WIAA Division II State Cross Country Meet and has been to the State Meet 3 times (2017, 2018, 2019). He was also a member of Jefferson’s state qualifying 4x800m relay that clinched a school record time of 8:07.52 in 2019. His personal best split was 2:02.8. Sande won the Rock Valley Conference Title with his team in 2019 and was the Conference runner up that year. He was selected as Cross Country MVP and Captain for his team 2 years in a row (2018, 2019). Sande also received the WIAA All-State Academic Award 3 years in a row (2017, 2018, 2019).

Personal
Graduate of Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Wisconsin, Ian Sande is the son of Matthew and Rebecca Sande. He was the Salutatorian of the Jefferson High School Class of 2020. He will be majoring in accounting with a focus in Economics and Philosophy.
