The University of Mary Marauders

2021 (Senior)
As a senior Samantha played and started 19 games for the Marauders. She totaled 1661 minutes on the pitch. Guzman had one goal and one assist. Her defensive role contributed to 8 shut outs, and the Marauders finished the season ranked 3^rd in the NSIC for goals against average. She earned NSIC All-Second Team Honors and was a team captain.

2021 SPRING (Senior)
Competed in 4 countable contests. Scored 1 goal, and 1 assist.

2019 (Junior)
In her junior year, Guzman played in and started all 18 games for the Marauders. She registered 1688 minutes and scored 3 goals. Her defensive role contributed to 9 shut outs, a school record goals allowed average of 0.53, and the Marauders finishing the season ranked 9^th in the Midwest region overall while also being ranked 11^th in the nation for goals against average. Guzman was an Honorable Mention All-NSIC.

PRIOR TO UMARY
Samantha Guzman, is a native of Riverside, CA. Guzman played as a center back for Peninsula College in Port Angeles, WA. During her career she earned multiple accolades, being named Team Captain, 2x NWAC Champion, NWAC All-Star ‘17 & ‘18, and named: Junior College Division 1 First Team All-West Region Player, as well as scoring 9 Goals as a Center Back. Guzman played her club soccer with Legends FC.

When asked why she chose the University of Mary, Guzman said “I chose UMARY because, UMARY has given me a platform to excel and thrive on, on and off the soccer field. I am extremely excited to play the sport that I love at the college level, and to join a group of players that respect and love the game as much as I do.”

Samantha attended Centennial High School in Riverside, California.

Guzman is the daughter of Tom and Lucy Guzman. She also has two siblings Alanna and Sarah Guzman. Her favorite hobby is listening to music, and her favorite food is sushi.
