A two-year starter at Lake Region State College, Tom Kubank is reunited with Marauders head coach
Joe Kittell, who was Kunbank's coach his freshman season at LRSC. As a sophomore, Kubank averaged 13.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 46.8 percent from the floor and making 78.7 percent of his free throw attempts in leading the Royals to a record of 19-12 in 2015-16. His freshman season, Kubank started 24 games as LRSC went 23-8 in 2014-15, averaging 9.8 points and 4.7 rebounds while making 51.2 percent of his field goal attempts and 66 percent of his free throws. Before coming to the United States from South Australia, Kubank was the Westminster Open A team captain, a three-time intercollegiate MVP and the three-time season MVP, and earned school colors for basketball excellence.
A member of Phi Theta Kappa, the dean's list and the Lake Region All-Academic team, Tom, the son of former National Basketball League (NBL) professional player Graham Kubank, will major in business management at the University of Mary.
