BURNSVILLE, MN – University of Mary men's cross country junior Gideon Hammah was recognized with a weekly honor for the second time this season, being named the NSIC Athlete of the Week.

Hammah claimed his second individual victory of the season in as many races, winning the Augustana Invitational. The Ghanan junior finished the 8k course with a time of 24:09.8. Not only was that a personal best, but it's the best time in UMary men's cross country program history.

Hammah now has three career cross country victories in addition to his track and field success at UMary that includes multiple school records and an NSIC Championship.

The Marauders will be heading to Montana for the Yellowjackets/Battlin' Bears Open on Oct. 9 for their next meet.
