BISMARCK, ND –
Gideon Hammah picked up his second career cross country victory as the University of Mary men's cross country team placed 2
nd at the Marauders Home Opener.
Hammah was the only runner to clear McDowell Dam in under 25 minutes, finishing the 8k course in 24:51.3. It is the third best time in the junior's career, only behind his All-NSIC finish as a freshman at the conference championships (24:43.3) and his victory at the Marauders Open in 2024 (24:49.7).
Sophomore
Josiah DeMaris started his sophomore season strong with a PR of 26:06.7 and his first career top-10 cross country finish, placing 10
th. Freshman
Tristan Crittenden was next for the Marauders in 13
th with a time of 26:32.5.
Sophomore
Zacarias Troutman cut nearly 20 seconds off his PR with a 26:50.1. Rounding out the team scoring was
Nick Lind, who placed 19
th with a 27:08.2.

The Marauders will be back in action in two weeks as they travel to Sioux Falls, SD, for the Augustana Invitational. The meet will take place on Sept. 25 from Yankton Trail Park, the site of both the NSIC Championships and NCAA Central Region Championships.
