BURNSVILE, MN – An impressive weekend leading the University of Mary to a pair of shutout wins earned Kadyn Dilger Northern Sun Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week honors.
 
The junior made ten saves – several of the spectacular variety – over the weekend as the Marauders earned a 1-0 win over the University of Minnesota Duluth and 2-0 over Bemidji State University. The Marauders moved into third place in the Northern Sun, passing both the Bulldogs and the Beavers on the league standings board.
 
Dilger opened the weekend with a six-save effort in the win over the Bulldogs and faced 10 shots total. Three of her saves came in the final 20 minutes, including a diving save on the goal line with 10' to play.
 
The Big Lake, MN, native followed with a four save effort against the Beavers on Sunday. Her save in the 10' on a close range shot thwarted the Beavers best scoring opportunity of the game and kept the match scoreless.
 
Dilger has led the Marauders to four straight wins, all by shutout and all at home. She has now recorded 12 clean sheets in her career.
 
This is the second time Dilger has earned NSIC weekly honors in her career, claiming the award once last season.
 
The Marauders next play at Augustana on Friday, October 2.
