WATERLOO, IA – After inclement weather canceled round one of the Upper Iowa Invite, the University of Mary men's golf team took both the 3
rd and 4
th spots on the leaderboard. Individually,
Quinn Breidenbach was tied for first for the second time this season.
Breidenbach finished the 18 holes with a 74 (+2), entering a playoff with Derek Andersen of Augustana. The two golfers competed against each other at the Marauders Invitational in a playoff. Like the first time, Andersen came out on top to claim the individual title.
Joining Breidenbach in the top-five was
Dawson Melbo, who was representing the B team. Melbo finished in a tie for 3
rd at 76 (+4). The next highest finishers for UMary were a pair of B golfers, as
Evan Booth and
Kristian Knodel tied for 15
th with an 80 (+8).
David Thomson placed 22
nd with an 81 (+9).
Aiden Knodel rounded out the B team's scoring in 30
th, finishing with an 82 (+10).
Payton Hiller and
Ryker Landers were tied with Knodel to cap off the A team's scoring for the day.

The Marauders will be off on Easter Sunday, then will return to action on Monday at the Augustana Invitational. The meet has shifted to 36 holes, all on Monday, from Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, SD.
