BISMARCK, ND – As the wins continue to mount for the University of Mary baseball team, the Marauders continue to receive national recognition. For a second straight week and the second time in program history, UMary is listed as receiving votes and under consideration for the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division II Baseball Coaches Poll released April 21.
The Marauders, who set a single season program record for NCAA wins on Monday, is 25-15 this season and is in third place in the Northern Sun with a record of 18-9.
Per the NCAA Toughest Schedule Report, UMary has played the most difficult schedule in NCAA Division II this season. Through April 15 games, the Marauders past opposition own a winning percentage of 0.632. Bloomsburg is next on the list with an opponent's winning percentage of .629.
The Marauders have played an incredibly challenging difficult schedule this season with four UMary opponents receiving national recognition this season. Opening weekend foe Rogers State University currently ranks 5
th in this week's ABCA poll. Minnesota State was ranked #9 when the Marauders played the Mavericks and are now #17 in the ABCA rankings. Metropolitan State University of Denver was ranked as high at #18 this season and is receiving votes. Augustana ranked #14 when the Marauders claimed the series win and are now also receiving ABCA poll votes.
The four teams have a combined 126-38 record this season. UMary has accounted for six of those losses.
The Marauders next visit the University of Jamestown (12-27 overall, 7-19 NSIC) in a Northern Sun doubleheader on Wednesday, April 22. First pitch is set for 1:30 pm at Jack Brown Stadium in Jamestown, ND. This is the first time UMary and Jamestown have played NSIC games. The last time the Marauders and the Jimmies played each other was 2006 when Jamestown swept a pair of doubleheaders from UMary (April 28 in Jamestown, April 30 in Bismarck).
