BURNSVILLE, MN – Following an impressive regular season for the #14 University of Mary wrestling team, a trio of Marauders earned Northern Sun postseason honors for their hard work.
Sean Solis,
Luke Tweeton, and
Lane Ewing were each named to the NSIC Second Team All-Conference.
For the second year in a row,
Sean Solis was named to the NSIC Second-Team. Solis posted a 15-4 record this season at 141 pounds and is ranked 6
th in the nation. The Long Beach, CA, native had a 7-1 record in conference duals. Solis's last match was a dominant performance, defeating USF's Jordon Oehme by a 20-4 tech fall.
This is
Luke Tweeton's third time earning NSIC All-Conference honors. He was named to the First Team in 2023-24 and the Second Team in 2022-23. Tweeton is 22-4 on the year and is ranked #5 in the nation at heavyweight. The Frazee, MN, native is 6-1 in conference duals this season. Tweeton's last match was an 8-1 win over Parkside's Cooper Caraway.
Lane Ewing earns All-Conference honors for the first time in his career. Ewing owns an overall record of 26-9 and has an 8-2 record in conference duals. The Douglas, WY, native's last match was an 11-6 decision over Sioux Falls's Luke Swanson.
The Marauders' next competition is at the NCAA Division II Super Regional V on Saturday, February 25, in Aberdeen, SD.
