BISMARCK, ND - The #12 University of Mary wrestling team (10-6, 6-4 NSIC) closed out the regular season in style, cruising to a 37-7 victory at home over the University of Sioux Falls (7-9, 3-7 NSIC).

Before the contest began, UMary honored senior Luke Tweeton for his contributions on and off the mat at the University of Mary. Tweeton is a three-time national qualifier and earned All-American status in 2024.

The matches opened with Ben DeForest dominating at 125 pounds, earning a 22-5 tech fall over Vincent Mayberry. Gabe Mortensen pitched a shutout at 133 pounds as he defeated Bray Skinner by a 9-0 major decision.

The 141-pound weight class saw #4 Sean Solis get back to his winning ways, defeating Jordon Oehme by a 20-4 tech fall. Kaden DeCoteau defeated Sir Brandon Watts by a 14-6 major decision at 149 pounds.

The Cougars took down the 157-pound weight class by an 11-6 decision. Lane Ewing got the Marauders back on track when he beat Luke Swanson by an 11-6 decision.

Joe Mushinsky earned a 15-5 major decision win over Lincoln Fink at 174 pounds. Charlie Severance electrified the crowd when he pinned Ashtin Johnson after 2:28 of action at 184 pounds.

Sam Bruss picked up his first win at 197 pounds after USF forfeited the weight class. The Cougars won by a 17-2 tech fall at heavyweight to end the dual.

The Marauders next competition is NCAA Super Regional V on Saturday, February 28, at 10 am in Marshall, MN.
